Order of the Eastern Star

Ron Rasmussen

Ron was born in Chicago, Illinois, the eldest of two sons. His father and maternal grandfather were Master Masons. Ron and his wife, Pat, have been married for 49 years and have raised four children. They also have eleven grandchildren.

Ron attended Beloit College and graduated with a BA degree in 1959. He retired in 1999 from Warner Electric as a Senior Buyer. He was raised a Master Mason in Beloit in 1986 and served as Worshipful Master in 1990, during that time he also served as Worthy Patron of Phoenix Chapter where they are perpetual members. After Ron’s retirement they moved to LaValle and became dual members of Queen of Sheba Chapter and transferred his lodge membership to Reedsburg where he served as Worshipful Master in 2006

Ron served as Worthy Patron six times in Beloit and twice in Reedsburg. He was Grand Representative of Texas and has served on the World of Youth Committee, Masonic Organizations Committee, and three years on the Long-Range Planning Committee. He also served the Grand Chapter in different years as Chairman of the Ushers, Collectors and Tellers.

He is a member of Beloit Chapter Royal Arch Masons and Council of Royal and Select Masters and the Commandery of Knights Templar in Baraboo. He had the honor to be elected and serve as the Most Illustrious Grand Master of the Grand Council of Royal and Select Masters for the state of Wisconsin in 2004-2005. He also belongs to the Valley of Madison Scottish Rite, The Red Cross of Constantine, Knights of the York Cross of Honor, the York Rite College, and Zor Shrine.

Ron enjoys spending time with his grandchildren, and being outdoors fishing, hunting, gardening and working in the yard.

Ron and Pat have enjoyed traveling and the many friendships they have made in Eastern Star. Ron appreciates the opportunity to continue his service to our beautiful Order.
