Proposed “rules”.  We’ll also circulate to everyone in group and get a consensus on rules they want before we finalize. 

1. Please, please, no attachments (so we don’t have to worry about viruses).
2. If you receive a group email, with an attachment, please delete without opening.  (This will prevent viruses which usually are forwarded unknowingly by the sender from their infected email address books).
3. Please keep our group email strictly star (or Masonic family) news, star (or Masonic Family) announcements, etc. 
   • Please do not forward any jokes, chain email, inspirational stories – no matter how heartwarming or how many wishes may come true if you forward them.
   • Please do not forward any “warnings”.  Many of these turn out to be frauds and if, true, will find their way to us soon enough through some other friends.
   • When in doubt, please don’t forward.  We want everyone to stay happy that they joined the OES group email and have this be useful STAR info only.  Thanks.
4. Please share with your friends and see if any want to “join the group”!
   
5. Please do not include any “sickness and distress” in the group email.  We don’t want to hurt a Sister or Brother by violating their privacy or inadvertently misrepresenting their condition.  This is also why a sickness and distress section is not included on the web page.
6. Please do not forward or distribute the group email to anyone outside the group.  This will help prevent spam.  (The contents can be copied and re-sent to others or printed and shared with chapter, etc.).
7. Personal replies should be to individual email address only, not to group. 
8. The sender should indicate if information should NOT be shared with the Masonic Journal.  Otherwise the information may be edited and included in the Masonic Journal OES page as space allows.
