1:30 P.M. Entrance of Worthy Matrons and Worthy Patrons of Milwaukee County in a march formation of the letter “W” in the East and a Star at the altar, during the singing of “Wisconsin Evermore.”

Trumpet Call by Brother Alfred Schumann, Worthy Patron of Baraboo Chapter.

Song of greeting to the Worthy Grand Matron, “Love Sends a Little Gift of Roses” by Rose Krainik of Acadia Chapter.

Worthy Grand Matron: One short year ago I asked for your loyalty and cooperation. These you have given in fullest measure.

WGM visited Minnesota Grand Chapter and the General Grand Chapter in San Antonia, Texas.

December 12, attended party for Grand Ruth, Acadia Chapter. I have made personal visits to 112 chapters; this includes three investigation visits, one constitution, one institution, 26 social and the remainder inspections.

Permit me to thank you as a body for the confidence and esteem which caused you to place me in this distinguished position.

Worthy Grand Patron: In this year of serious economic disturbances, we have made a special effort to be of service to others. Your spirit of cooperation has helped us in many ways to make this a delightful year to serve.

It has been an honor for me to be the guest of 128 chapter meetings. I have driven 20,000 miles and it has been all well worth my while just to meet the wonderful folks of this grand old state.

Tuesday evening: “Mount Vernon Bells” was rendered by the Waukesha Chorus.

Sister Mary Charles delivered “A Tribute to Washington”.

A playlet entitled “Minuet Days” was given by the Waukesha Chapter. Incidental duet, “Love’s Old Sweet Song”.

After the play, the Waukesha Chapter officers danced the minuet and at the conclusion of the dance, the dancers presented some of the Grand Officers and Past Grands with porcelain dolls in colonial costume.

“Annie Laurie” was sun by Sister Minnie Beard of Kenosha Chapter.

Grand Lecturer, Sister Nettie B. Hobson: With the willing assistance of Sister Baker and Sister Brown, we have visited almost every chapter and while I trust no future Grand Lecturer will need the same assistance, I believe it is a splendid arrangement to have the outgoing Worthy Grand Matron and the Associate Grand Matron included on the Committee for Uniform Instruction. It has given her the opportunity to become acquainted with the chapters and members before selecting her Grand Officers and has paved the way for her work through the year she serves as Worthy Grand Matron.

Masonic Service Bureau: 208 Eastern Star applications were received, 44 or 21 percent were placed into employment. Sick visits, flowers sent, legal aid furnished, dental aid furnished, coal supplied, wood supplied, shoes furnished, rents paid, funerals paid, transportation paid, blood transfusions furnished, insurance premiums paid and Christmas cheer extended to 71 families.

Masonic Home: Cheer fund, $1,713.62. Donations from chapters: jams, jellies, books, stationary, box of oranges, preserves, concert, readings, case of apples, day of comfort, bird bath for grounds.
