1:30 PM Music – “Open the Gates of the Temple” vocal solo by Hans Kratzer, Ozaukee Chapter No. 147. Worthy Grand Matron: It has been my earnest hope and prayer to carry on the splendid work begun by my predecessors; to promote peace and harmony; to impress our members with a broader charity, both in thoughts, words and deeds and the need of daily practicing the lessons taught in our Order; and a fuller and better understanding of our obligation. It was with great pleasure that I was able to bear fraternal greetings of Wisconsin to the Grand Chapter of Minnesota. Every minute of their splendid session was enjoyed. December 29th I installed the officers of St. Omar Chapter No. 90 Monroe, and spent a delightful evening with this good chapter and many visiting members from neighboring chapters. I have been given strength to make 119 visitations, eleven social, three installations, one constitution and 104 inspections. Worthy Grand Patron: The past year has been an extremely happy one, happy because of the opportunity to serve. It is with honest appreciation that I look backward over one of the happiest years of my life, made so by the honor which you have bestowed upon me as your Worthy Grand Patron. Tuesday, 7:00 PM Music. Dramatization of Star Points by Electa Chapter No. 75. Grand Lecturer, Sister Viola Hayter: In all chapters I have found the true fraternal spirit existing. You know the real essence of the fraternal spirit is to be ever mindful of the welfare of others, to bring cheer and gladness into other lives. It has been said that “coming together” is beginning, “working together” is progress, “keeping together” is success. Of the inspections I have made, 83 have been individual and 28 grouped. We realize it is much easier on the Inspecting Officer to inspect 28 chapters in 14 nights than to take 28 nights for the work. I also made 17 social visits. (It is interesting to note for the 1934 election they had four Tables of Tellers, both Sisters and Brothers and collectors who were both Sisters and Brothers). Masonic Home Association: During the past year, in spite of discouraging conditions, 162 chapters have sent free will offerings to the amount of $1,296.65. Chapters also donated: jams and jellies, quilts, Easter Program, candy.
