This session is dedicated to that Faith which passeth human understanding. By His mercy may it be instilled in the hearts of all Eastern Star members wherever they may be.

Give me the Faith dear Lord and let it stand unmoved amid the stirring winds of strife; in all my ways discern Thy guiding hand, accepting what Thou givest me in life.

Tuesday, 1:00 P.M. Combined choirs of Milwaukee County Chapters directed by Sister Hazel Wegener of Vega Chapter entered the stage from the southeast and took positions on the stairs singing “The Lord is in His Holy Temple.” From the west the Grand Pages and members of the Winnebago, Walworth and Waukesha county clubs entered to form the numeral “100” between the altar and the East, symbolic of Wisconsin’s Centennial year. A huge “W” was formed around this group by the Worthy Matrons and Worthy Patrons of Milwaukee County. In the darkened room this “W” was suddenly aglow with the lights from countless small flashlights. The houselights were raised and the assembly joined in singing “On Wisconsin.”

Against a beautifully wooded background there was a simple white church, its walls covered in ivy and on its steps miniature people in their Sunday best. To its right there was a beautiful modern home and to its left was the well-known country school house with decorations at its windows and children on the school grounds. The motto for the year had been “the Church, the Home and the School”.

The Grand Officers wore gowns of sequin trimmed white crepe and entered carrying a small purple edged white Bible on which rested a corsage of violets (Wisconsin’s state flower).

Worthy Grand Matron: Attended Grand Sessions in Illinois, Missouri, Kentucky and Minnesota. October 25 honored at Oshkosh by her home chapter: “this evening in which they honored me is one that will never fade from my memory.” November 21, party for Grand Electa at Vega Chapter. November 22 party for Grand Martha at Janesville Chapter. November 29 party for Grand Chaplain by Onalaska Chapter. March 23, Venus Chapter, Stoughton honored me with a lovely Norwegian costume. April 28, Golden Anniversary of Waupaca. June 12, party for Grand Conductress given by St. Omar, Monroe. June 26, party for Grand Warder given by Eagle Chapter, Eagle River.

One could not give years of service to this Order unless there was a genuine love for it and the assurance that good is being done to some one, sometime, somewhere. 65 official visits.

Worthy Grand Patron: In Electa Chapter I first learned the lessons of our Order. It was there my Faith was increased and it will always be a pleasure to return Home. Sixty-seven official visits were made this last year to installations, inspections, golden anniversaries and regular chapter meetings.

Grand Lecturer, Grace D. Stearns: “Strive to be perfect,” is a good admonition. Most officers adhere to this age old saying and find great joy in doing their work to the best of their ability. It is gratifying to come into a chapter room and find such an environment. During the year I made 74 official visits. 65 chapters were inspected by the Associate Matron and 65 chapters were inspected by the Grand Conductress.

Masonic Home: Subordinate chapters contributed $26,885.03 and Grand Chapter contributed $5,000 for the enlargement of the hospital at the Masonic Home at Dousman. (This was the special project for this year).
$3,569.38 for Chinese Relief.
