Tuesday, l:00 PM: The auditorium’s lights were dimmed and Sister Florence Regan of Golden Rule Chapter opened the prologue by singing, “Were You There When they Crucified My Lord?” While the song was being sung 20 Past Matrons and Past Patrons of Golden Rule clothed in Biblical costumes representing shepherds, merchants and servants who were bound for the City of Jerusalem, gathered around a community well while others were seated around a fire in a cross legged circle as Bother Marvin Fugina, PGP narrated. At the conclusion of the prologue a large frame was illuminated bearing the letters: “DO UNTO OTHERS”, the theme of the Session. In all ages men have sought and found the Pearl of Great Price, the truth by which men live, and the supreme teacher having proclaimed it in simple words: “Whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them.” Worthy Grand Matron: To attempt to describe all the joys and experiences which have been my blessings during my fraternal Grand Chapter years would leave me with a feeling of inadequacy. Many thanks to each and everyone who cooperated in advancing Grand Chapter’s activities. Sister of X chapter applied to our Grand Secretary for financial assistance. After investigation her requirements were met. As an experiment this year, all the appointed Grand Officers, with the exception of the Grand Sentinel, were invited to take an active part in our Uniform Instruction Official Visitations. My sincere thanks to all members of our Order who contributed to the ESTARL special project. 25 religious training awards will be presented this year. It was a pleasure and privilege to attend and celebrate the Golden Anniversaries of Lemonweir, Sussex and Ladysmith. Also the 60th anniversary of Vega. I attended the “Love Thy Neighbor Session of Iowa Grand Chapter at Sioux City and the “Electa Session of Nebraska Grand Chapter at Lincoln. After my official visit at Chippewa Chapter, I journeyed to St. Paul to attend the Minnesota Grand Chapter. Among my cherished memories of the year is the outstanding party which was given by my beloved Golden Rule Chapter in my honor. It was held at the Hotel Schroeder in the Crystal Ball Room, Milwaukee. October 29, Chippwa Chapter, Chippewa Falls hosted a party for Brother Adolph Brunstad, Worthy Grand Patron. October 30, breakfast given by Sister Joyce and Brother Adolph at the Masonic Temple, Chippewa Falls. Worthy Grand Patron: During the year, I was privileged to greet many of you in your own chapter rooms. They were meetings that always inspired me, and I can truthfully say that I never attended a chapter meeting be it a small or large chapter, official visit or friends’ night, golden anniversary of just a stated meeting, but that I came away inspired and happy in the thought that I had made the effort to get there. To the members of my own loyal Chippewa Chapter I can only repeat my thank you. You have all been wonderful to me. You have done everything that you could to make my service in Grand Chapter interesting and pleasant. The harmony and real friendship that predominates in Chippewa Chapter is no accident. It is the way of the chapter. Cheer Fund: Candy, tea, refreshments, 2 tea sets, Braves baseball outing. 60,058 Members |
