On the red velvet curtain above the Grand East, old English Bible script of gold designated the “Chapel Bell Session.” Beneath this, the theme of the year, “Forward in Faith.”
White Gothic arches, entwined with green vines in the West formed the entrances to the Grand Chapter room. White crosses graced the top and gold bells were centered in each arch. Gold bells attached to white rope supported by gold posts outlined the Chapter room floor. Miniature Chapels of white, containers for bouquets of red roses, were placed behind each Star Point station. Each was reflected with appropriate color.
Two golden bells and a huge standard of red roses and white gladioli graced the foot of the stairway to the Grand East. White bells and potted green plants added to the effectiveness of the decorations on the Chapter room floor and the Grand East. Chimes proclaimed the opening of the “Chapel Bell Session.”
