Theme: I Believe Friendship is Golden
On center stage an enormous globe was held by a huge pair of hands as if to mold the world, with clouds and stars lending an ethereal atmosphere to the Universe. A large basket of golden mums grace the stairway to the East. Lighted coach lanterns mounted on huge simulated brick pillars, entwined with the ivy of friendship, flanked the entryways. A friendship chain, connected to smaller lantern pillars, encircled the Chapter Room. Ornamental filigree circles formed a background for the West, North and South Stations. The Star Point Stations were backed with shadow boxes revealing an outline of the State of Wisconsin, featuring a globe encircled with a chain of gold depicting the thought that a “World of Friendship” prevailed in Wisconsin. Angel hair affected a glowing atmosphere of color appropriate to each station symbolizing Fidelity, Constancy, Loyalty, Faith and Love. The Altar was covered with a beautiful gold cloth on which rested the large white bible of the Worthy Grand Matron’s chapter. The floor was covered with the traditional white carpet. As the members entered the foyer of the Civic Auditorium a glittering revolving globe extended a welcome to the Starland Rays Sessions.
