“Chapel of the Chimes” sparkled in blue outlined in gold above the Grand Chapter East.
The theme “Harmony Creates Happiness” was carried out in the Grand Chapter East, wherein appeared an arched white chapel having the appearance of alabaster in the bright spotlights trained upon it. Suspended from a disc in the center of the chapel were three golden chimes. The chapel was set off by a display of greens to depict a garden and this idea was further enhanced by a scene behind the chapel fading into the distance.
The white fence posts were topped by individual floral displays including beautifully colored butterflies. A small chapel replica of the East rested behind each star point chair, the base of which was supplied with both a spotlight shining up on the suspended gold chimes and a floral cornerpiece in the appropriate star point color.
The handrails of the stairs to the Grand Chapter East were decorated with the corsages which Sister Mary received on her many visitations. Green plants and grass with butterflies filled the area between the stairs and plants of various colors edged the stage. White skirting around the tables together with the green carpeting completed the setting.
