“Gateway to Unity” sparkled in old English letters above the stage and a red and yellow mural of sky and sea was the background for a white fence and gateway entwined with green leaves on the left and two large swans on the right. Ferns were placed between the stairs and two large disks, one with the Eastern Star Emblem and the other with the Masonic Emblem, were displayed in front of the ferns. Beside each set of steps leading to the Grand Chapter East were pots of pussy willows and lion statues. Greenery was placed in the Grand Chapter West behind the stations of the Associate Grand Matron and Associate Grand Patron. A white swan planter filled with green fern was placed on top of each lighted fence post, and behind each Star Point’s chair was a large swan lighted with the appropriate color. Yellow mums lined the front of the stage and the tables were skirted in royal blue material
